We are so pleased with the results of our renovation by Build Professional, which has transformed our pokey 1970s home into a light, calming and functional space for our family.
Our project included the creation of a second bathroom, a new kitchen, deck extension and updates to windows, flooring and externals of the house. Having lived in the house for a number of years we came with plenty of ideas and questions!

Ryleigh worked so collaboratively and patiently with us to imagine old spaces into new, taking on board our ideas and bringing forward lots of excellent new solutions to meet the brief.

Through the selection phase Lynn provided outstanding support and was an amazing sounding board for our choices. Lynn really went above and beyond to help us achieve the look and feel of the house, bringing outside and inside together through colour and design.

Moving into the build phase was really smooth, with excellent communication about timeframes, sequencing and costs. Matt, Matt and Tim led the charge on construction, with Tim leading the tradie team and coordinating subcontractors to complete the demo and build to a quality standard. The regular site walk throughs with Tim and the other (excellent) tradies were really valuable and ensured everything was completed with functionality and quality finish in mind.

The Build team were really responsive when any issues arose, often identifying issues before we did, and worked with us to find solutions and offer clear advice to guide our decisions. BP really wowed us from start to finish with a strong commitment to communication (listening and keeping us updated), excellent project management and high quality results.

We’ve now been back in our ‘new’ house for 12 months and are in love with the results. While modest in size our house is an absolute joy to be in and functions so much better as a space we can live and relax in. Massive thanks to the whole BP team!

We are very happy we chose Build Professional for the renovation and extension of our ex-govie home. We really felt supported by Matt and his team through the different phases of the building process. We appreciated the fact that everything was done in-house, including drafting and planning permissions. In particular, the opportunity to work with their interior designer helped us make some great design choices. We contacted Build Professional (BP) on the recommendation of a friend who had used BP in a reconstruction of her home and had been very satisfied with the result. While not the cheapest quote, we were more focused on a quality build and staying on schedule. BP met both these requirements.
BP’s approach was methodical and highly pleasing. They listened to what we wanted, visited the premises, produced detailed plans in accordance with our requirements, made sensible suggestions and did not attempt to upsell us on items we did not want. They checked out the existing structure, arranged all necessary approvals and commenced work on our second story extension promptly, allowing us to continue in residence in the original building, which was important as we had small children in the house.

BP kept us informed on a regular basis of what to expect as the next stages. Construction was finished to high standard and within the timeframe originally proposed…to the surprise of some of our friends who had prophesied significant delays. All of the several sub-contractors arranged by BP proved thoroughly competent and considerate of our needs. They were also very pet-friendly and none of our four pets escaped during the process.

We were very impressed with the end results and feel we received excellent value.

We were drawn by the benefits of engaging a company that delivered both design and construction. Our challenge was to improve the functionality and efficiency of our home for our family of five, including adding a second story and double garage, whilst phasing the renovation to allow us to remain living in situ during the build. With due consideration for our needs and through resourcefulness by the whole Build Professional team, the journey was efficient and effective, delivering a design that met our needs – sympathetic to the surrounding street scape, maximising space and the northerly aspect, yet with a more modern feel. We were so appreciative of the Designer and Matt Hall’s patience and advice as we worked together to develop the design best for us and our budget. The Build Professional team set us up smoothly to commence the build and took the hassle and risk out of searching for builders against a design and gaining local approvals.

Our Project Manager, Wayne, and his subbies were cheerful, skilled and reliable, on site early and putting in a full day’s work, and often weekends throughout the build to keep on top of schedule. A very pleasant and competent Build Professional team kept us informed of progress and drew to our attention early any emergent issues or potential cost drivers invariably associated with renovating an old home. Matt Hall and his team were courteous and did everything they could to make our lives comfortable during the build.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our relationship with Matt Hall and the whole team at Build Professional. When at times opinions may differ as is expected through a major undertaking such as ours, we always sensed it was a ‘team effort’, us and Build Professional, working to
accommodate the best outcome.
