Celebrating 20 years as a member of Master Builders ACT has given Build Professional’s Director, Matthew Hall, a moment to reflect on how his time in the construction industry has evolved.
Matthew undertook his carpentry apprenticeship with the MBA, before trekking to Japan where he spent four years playing professional rugby. The building game called him home, inspiring him to return to Canberra to start his own business.
In 2004, Matthew launched Hall Building Services, offering the construction of new homes, extensions, and renovations. The company’s first project was a new duplex in Yarralumla, and it is a project Matthew remembers fondly; the day he poured the footings was the day he welcomed his first-born daughter. Luckily, the timing worked out for both.
